9/11
Today is September 11 2007. Its a weird morning maybe its just the fog but it seems more quiet than usual and there is almost a purple haze outside. Don’t worry I am not taking any narcotics only an energy drink and a couple cups of coffee definitely nothing to make me see a purple haze. I cant help to wonder why 9/11 is not a federal day of remembrance. We were all effected by what happened in one way or another. I can remember that day very vividly, I was actually on vacation in LA. and my flight scheduled to come home was on Sept. 11 2001. Of course I didn’t come home that day, I wound up driving out to Arizona to stay with a friend for a few days until flights were taking off again. I remember the fear of not being able to call home and just listening to what was happening in NY on the radio as I drove across the desert. I guess what I’m trying to say is, make sure you never forget what happened and never forget the civilian lives that were lost that day. Never forget the Firefighters, Police Officers, Military Personel and Volunteers that helped, and those who lost their lives trying to save others. As an American citizen and a NY’er I think I speak for everyone, we should all allow the torch of freedom and justice to burn deep in our hearts forever.
